Tom and I were fortunate enough to get away the first weekend in November. Thanks, Mom for watching the kids...I am forever grateful!! We went to a resort in Harrison, Idaho. It was so nice.
We did a little browsing at some stores and we ate lots of good food at a couple of my favorite restaurants in Spokane. We went on a walk on the boardwalk at the Coeur d'Alene Resort. The sun was setting and it was so beautiful. It was difficult to take decent pictures all by myself.
I took this as we were leaving the resort. It was gorgeous all weekend but a little cold. I've decided I need to get some warmer clothes for Tom since he only had this sweatshirt.
It was nice to get away together. We missed Jayni and Mason like crazy though. I felt like I was calling my Mom nonstop to check to see how they were doing. They did great and had a good time with GraMimi and Poppy!!

I love your self portraits! And your weekend away sounds perfect! I'm glad you guys had a good time, it's definitely worth the effort to get out of town even when it's hard to get it all arranged.
What's up next, a birthday weekend getaway since you share a birthday? I say go for it, =)!
I loved that resort too! It's so fun, even for just a couple days. I can't wait to do it again. Next time you should have Tom take the pictures. He has the longest arms ever!! Cute pics though!!
How fun for you guys. We are so doing that for our 8 yr anniversary next August. Dallin will be 18 mos by then so I figure he will be leavable.

Nana and Papa Mayo are the caregivers for Brant and Penny's two daughters, Ellie and Olivia, when they want to get away for the weekend. Not very often, but enjoyable for us. Papa is heading to Florida the middle of January to spend a couple of weeks with Mike and Kendra and their two daughters, Kenzie and Becca. He hopes to give Mike and Kendra some alone time while he is there. At least dinner out at an adult
restaurant.
