Bus Trip

Jayni had been asking me if she could get her ears pierced for awhile. So, a few weeks ago, Jayni, her friend, Autumn, Mason, and I went to the mall to get them done. The place we went to only had one person working and suggested we come back later in the day when there would be two employees so that the ears could be pierced at the same time. I tried and tried to talk Jayni into waiting and I was explaining that it would hurt like a shot, but she insisted she could handle it. Needless to say, we left with only one ear pierced!

When I dropped Autumn off at her house, her mom, Allie told Jayni that if she went back and got her other ear pierced, we could go on a bus ride. Jayni had been wanting to ride a bus for a long time so she was super excited. Jayni went back to get the other ear pierced later that day when Tom could go.

So, we went for the bus ride on Tuesday and had a great time. We first went to story time at the library.

We got there a little early so the kids colored and looked at books. Here's Tanner, Jayni, Autumn, and Mason coloring.

Mason takes such great pictures. Lately he's started saying, "CHEESE" when he sees the camera.

After the library we got back on the bus and headed to the dollar store. The girls had a good time looking at the different toys.

We then walked to McDonalds and had lunch. Mason got this pirate hat in his happy meal but his head was too big. Surprise! Tanner looked so cute in it, but he really didn't like it.

These girls love to have their picture taken!

After McDonalds we headed home. It was so fun to do something different then what we normally do in the day. I really enjoyed spending time with Allie and getting to know her better. She's becoming such a great friend! Didn't she have a great idea!?

I'm happy you're blogging again too. See, you do lots of stuff worth while. And plus, we love to see the kids. I love low key outings that the kids have fun on. My kids would love a bus ride!

What a fun day. Kids love the simplest things. Maggie got her ears pierced right before she turned 3, my friend came over and did it here at our house and I think that helped. She didnt even flinch. Mason is getting so handsome and little boy like!

A bus ride really is a great idea!! Sounds like you had fun! And I can't believe Jayni has her ears pierced! My mom didn't let me get mine pierced until I was 12 years old!

It would have been funny to just have one pierced- see how long she lasts later in life- I bet she would have gave in. But the bus was probaby worth it- that's why we did Haylee's when she was 10 months old. And all at once! I can't believe how big your kids are!
