Work It Out!!

So yesterday I met Tom at the Kennewick High School track and did a slow jog/walk for 2 miles!! All in 25 minutes, which I didn't think was too bad to get my fat body moving. I need to start doing something, so our plan is to meet down there 3 times a week when Tom gets off work so we can keep active. Tom also ran a mile (like he needs to, ha!). I'd like to lose about 30 lbs. so please help hold me to it!!! Since last night I've lost 3 lbs.!!

Mason's 2nd Birthday and My 1st Quilt

Mason's birthday was April 26th, so this is a little late, but I wanted to show the cake I made for Mason's birthday. We celebrated Mason's birthday a week early since I had my sister-in-law's baby shower to go to on his actual birthday, which is her birthday as well. With the help of my Mom this is how the cake turned out.

We had a nice time with just a little party after Sunday dinner when we were in Moses Lake for a weekend.

I can't believe my baby is 2! It makes me so sad that my children are growing up so quickly.

For Christmas I got a sewing machine and this is the first quilt I've made. I felt so accomplished! This is what I made for my nephew Ender and gave to my sister-in-law, Beth at her baby shower.

Ender was born this last Sunday, May 18th which means all of our special days are now shared with others. Kind of funny!! Tom and I share the same birthday. Jayni and her cousin Eli share a birthday. Mason and Aunt Beth share a birthday. Now we share our anniversary with Ender's birthday.

Beth's husband, Ryan is a pilot so I thought this material was fitting for their family. Plus, I LOVE the colors!!!

Who's Out There?

I have not felt very motivated to keep updating my life because I feel that those that read my blog are people I see on a regular basis, and pretty much knows what's going on. So who out there is reading this? Maybe if I have an idea I may feel this is more worthwhile!! Leave me a comment even if you want to remain anonymous and let me know what you think!

Have a happy day!!

Sleeping Babies

Okay, so my kids really aren't babies anymore, but they'll always be to me! I love to see my kids sleeping. About the only time in my day that is peaceful and quiet! Every night I have to go in and check on Mason and Jayni before I go to bed. If I don't I can't sleep!

A couple night's last week, Jayni decided she'd climb into bed with Mason. I'd go in there and find them sleeping next to each other. So very cute, but I told Jayni she can't be doing that anymore. She does tend to wake him up and he won't go back to sleep!

When I first went into their room this night, Jayni had her arm around Mason. But of course, by the time I got the camera, she moved!
