Worcester Cathedral

I've been wanting to share with everyone this amazing cathedral that we love to visit right here in Worcester. I think one of the reasons we like it is because it's free to visit!

Worcester Cathedral has been a place of prayer and worship since 680 AD. The present building was started in 1084. We've been told by a member here that the Worcester Cathedral inspired Brigham Young and that's how parts of the design of the Salt Lake Temple came about.

The stain glass windows are beautiful. Unfortunately the pictures don't capture what you see in person.

You can see a little more detail on this one.

This is a picture of a portion of the ceiling inside the cathedral.

We have been so fortunate to be able to see things like this here in England. The buildings here are so much older than the United States. That's so crazy to think!!

Looks like an amazing cathedral! I have led such a sheltered life when it comes to travel, one day I hope to see so much more than I have now. What cool memories and photos you will have from being able to visit there. Very cool.

That looks like some great fun. I love the pics you took. Someday I hope to travel a little. Only other country I've been to is Canada...and that was just driving over the border when Dad had to go for his calling. Anyways, you know what I mean. It's a beautiful building. Love ya...call me sometime, or tell me to call you.

That really is a beautiful cathedral. The buildings over there are amazing!

And about staying or coming back, if it were me I would probably stay at least a little while longer. It really is such a neat experience to live in another country and to just see all that you can. You should take advantage of that, if Tom's job really is willing to help you out. That is a great opportunity! But I do understand about missing family. Even though we aren't as far as England, it has been 2 and a half years since we moved away, and I am starting to get anxious to move back!
